
Between ease of use and being readily available, Spotify is poised to keep its position in the music streaming world. Even iTunes, which could be argued popularized digital music and streaming thanks to its ease of use and integration into mobile devices, has yet to topple the Swedish giant. While competitors like tech giants Google and Amazon have stepped into the market, they have yet to offer any serious competition to Spotify.

Spotify has grown to such an extent that its name is nearly synonymous with music streaming. Aside from offering music, Spotify has made considerable inroads in the podcast market and has acquired exclusivity deals with shows like The Joe Rogan Experience. To remove downloaded songs from Spotify, just select the downloaded album or playlist you want to remove from local storage and tap the Downloaded toggle. It is available in 184 markets and on a plethora of devices like PC, mobile, Amazon Echo, and Roku. Since then, it has become the world's largest music streaming service provider with over 381 million monthly active users. Spotify was founded in 2006 by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon in Stockholm, Sweden, and launched in October of 2008. This will unfollow it and remove it from the user's library.
